What is Lerf?
Lerf is an iPhone app that temporarily blocks selected apps so you can stop reopening them on autopilot.
How do I start a session?
Choose a duration, select the apps you want blocked, choose Easy Mode or Strict Mode, and begin the session.
What is the difference between Easy Mode and Strict Mode?
Easy Mode allows you to end the session early with a press and hold. Strict Mode keeps the selected apps blocked until the timer ends.
Why does Lerf request Screen Time access?
Lerf uses Apple's Screen Time frameworks to apply the app restrictions you choose. Lerf cannot block selected apps without this permission.
Why is an app not blocked?
Confirm that the app was selected before starting the session and that Screen Time access remains enabled for Lerf. Restarting Lerf or your iPhone may also resolve temporary iOS permission issues.
Does Lerf require an account?
No. Lerf does not require an account.
Can Lerf silence notifications?
Lerf blocks access to selected apps. Use iPhone Focus or Do Not Disturb settings to manage notifications.
Can I play sounds during a session?
Yes. Lerf offers optional ambient sounds while a session is active.
